What Elementary (A2) German means

At A2 German, learners can handle simple routine exchanges and describe familiar aspects of everyday life.

  • Describe your routine

Normalerweise fahre ich mit dem Bus zur Arbeit und komme um sechs nach Hause.

I normally go to work by bus and return home at six.

  • Make a simple plan

Möchtest du am Samstagnachmittag ins Kino gehen?

Would you like to go to the cinema on Saturday afternoon?

  • Talk about the recent past

Gestern habe ich mit Freunden zu Abend gegessen und danach sind wir spazieren gegangen.

Yesterday I had dinner with friends and then we went for a walk.

These are general examples of language use at this level, not a description of any individual course syllabus.
