German Level 8 | Evenings

About this course

This course develops German communication through topics including comparisons, opinions, films, feelings, events and parties. Learners practise understanding text messages and film reviews, describing experiences, expressing joy or regret, and commenting on events. Teaching combines group activities and role-plays with structured work on comparative and superlative adjectives, subordinate clauses, reflexive verbs, vocabulary and pronunciation. The teacher uses German throughout the lessons, providing continued listening and comprehension practice. Cultural content includes events and party traditions in German-speaking countries.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for learners developing beyond fundamental German skills, at approximately Elementary (A2) level. It requires previous study equivalent to German Level 7 or at least 84 class hours. Participation includes spoken communication, group work and role-plays, with the teacher speaking German throughout.

• The Netzwerk Neu A2.1 coursebook is required and should be purchased after the first lesson; copies are available from reception on the day of the second lesson.
