About this course
The course develops German beyond the first beginner stage through interactive lessons combining listening, reading comprehension and conversation practice. Participants work on linking words, question formation, pronunciation, present-tense verbs and sentence patterns for expressing preferences, agreement and disagreement. Lessons also introduce useful phrases, numbers and topics including German food, drink and customs. Audio and video resources are used alongside group work and tutor feedback, with progress assessed through classroom activities rather than an exam.
