These are general examples of language use at this level, not a description of any individual course syllabus.
About this course
The course develops German communication through conversation practice, listening exercises, reading comprehension and interactive classroom activities. Learners work with sentence structure, question formation, present-tense verbs, linking words, pronunciation and phrases for expressing preferences, agreement and disagreement. Lessons also introduce German food, drink, customs and other cultural topics using audio and video resources. Tutor feedback, observation and group work are used to support learning, with homework set after each session. This is not an exam course.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for learners progressing beyond the first stage of beginner German. Completion of Beginners Stage 1 is specified; learners who have not studied German at RHACC can use the provider’s level and placement test to establish suitability. Participation includes conversation, group work, listening and reading activities, with homework after each session.
