About this course
This workshop introduces the practical considerations involved in volunteering. Participants examine how volunteering may contribute to future career plans, consider which types of opportunity align with their needs and aspirations, and clarify the roles and responsibilities of volunteers. The session also covers basic safeguarding and health and safety principles. Through interactive activities, learners practise searching for volunteering roles and develop a clearer understanding of how to assess potential opportunities.

Participation is interactive and involves considering personal needs and aspirations while practising how to find opportunities. Eligibility is limited to people aged 19 or over on 31 August before the course starts.
