Getting ready for Functional Skills English (level 2)

About this course

Learners work with real-life texts, including articles, reports and instructions, to identify, summarise and compare ideas and language features. They practise planning and producing formal emails, letters, reports and other purposeful writing, while improving grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure and vocabulary. Teaching combines tutor guidance, self-paced work and activities such as formal discussions and presentations. Learners also use digital tools to create, edit and submit work, and develop strategies for independent study and preparation for the Functional Skills English Level 2 qualification.
