About this course
Participants learn the basic terminology and processes needed to use a PC and the internet. The course covers creating, organising, storing and sharing files, including documents and photographs, alongside using Word to write and send a letter. It also introduces email, internet searches, useful websites and online forms, with guidance on protecting files and personal digital information. Teaching is task-based and step by step, combining individual work with activities alongside other students. Learners receive guidance while completing tasks and are expected to use Google Classroom and undertake work outside class.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for people who are very new to computers and the internet and want a foundation before progressing. Activities include working independently, with other students and individually with tutor guidance. Learners should be prepared to practise tasks outside class using Google Classroom.
