About this course
Participants develop an original concept for a branded immersive experience, considering branding, storytelling, audience-facing design and presentation. The course combines lectures, practical design exercises and collaborative discussion, taking ideas from early sketches through to a 3D prototype in Blender. The project concludes with a professionally designed pitch deck suitable for a portfolio. Sessions also examine immersive arts technologies and creative tools used in public installations, exhibitions, retail spaces, cultural settings, live events and brand activations.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for graphic designers, brand designers, art directors and related creative practitioners extending their work into immersive environments and cross-media experiences. It also suits students, graduates and professionals in graphic design, fashion communication, marketing and related disciplines. A basic understanding of graphic design and comfort presenting visual ideas are expected; previous Blender or immersive arts experience is not required.

Before you go
- The course may include a half-day research visit to Outernet and/or 180 Studios, or an alternative venue or case study.
- Students must cover any transport and venue costs associated with the research visit.
