About this course
The course rotates between graphic design, illustration, advertising and photography, using four set briefs to connect the disciplines and develop related project work. Daily reviews and discussions provide opportunities to consider work in progress, while a concluding Pop-Up Studio Show presents a selection of participants’ work for appraisal by tutors and colleagues. Optional one-to-one portfolio advice sessions are also available during the course.

The course is intended for learners with varied levels of experience who want to extend their understanding of graphic communication design. The Improver label suggests a level beyond fundamental study, and the stated entry requirements include some educational experience in the field, spoken English for discussions and presentations, and participation in group reviews.
