Group Choreography and Showcase

About this course

The course introduces foundations and vocabulary from Hip Hop, House, Locking and Breaking. Sessions combine warm-ups, drills, creative tasks and tutor demonstrations with repetition of set material. Participants work both individually and as a group, applying the techniques to a short choreographed piece for performance before an audience. The course also addresses both set choreography and freestyle material, alongside an understanding of street dance styles and their culture.

The course is open to learners at all levels and involves individual practice, group choreography and performance. It requires a good level of fitness to manage the physical demands of a dance class, as well as participation in a group piece presented to an audience.
