About this course

The course examines how networking can support employment, career change and business development. Participants clarify their work or business goals, assess their existing network and develop a clear networking message. Content includes informational interviewing, finding networking opportunities and techniques for face-to-face networking. Teaching combines tutor input with paper-based individual exercises and interactive pair and group work. A practical networking exercise provides an opportunity to apply the approaches covered during the course.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for people who recognise the value of networking for their working lives but do not feel comfortable with it. It is labelled Beginner (A1), and no prior training, experience or skills are needed. Learners should be willing to take part in individual, pair and group activities and follow simple written and verbal instructions.
