About this course
The workshop explores drawn animation through practical exercises in cycles and loops, line animation, morphing, freestyle work and simple key-pose character animation. Demonstrations introduce different drawing styles and principles such as timing and movement, alongside basic capture using Dragon Frame and clip assembly in Premiere Pro. Participants develop their own short animated sequences using the processes covered. Teaching combines short lectures, demonstrations, workshops, practical exercises, individual assistance and hand-outs.

The course is labelled beginner level and is intended for learners exploring drawn animation, including those polishing existing skills or trying a new technique. Participation involves workshops, practical exercises and individual work, with optional work outside class.

- A memory stick or portable hard drive may be useful. PC-formatted drives can be read but not written to on Apple Mac computers.
