Handmade Pottery - Terracotta Planters
A guided all-levels workshop in handbuilding a terracotta planter using fundamental shaping and smoothing techniques.
About this course
Participants work with terracotta clay to make a planter, learning how to shape, smooth and build their form through handbuilding. Instruction is provided step by step, introducing essential pottery techniques as the piece takes shape. The session focuses on making one individual planter rather than covering a broad range of ceramic forms. The finished work is kiln-fired after the workshop.

Is this course right for you?
The workshop is suitable for all levels and explicitly welcomes people with no previous experience. Its guided format introduces fundamental pottery techniques while allowing participants to make an individual piece.
Before you go
- All materials and tools are provided.
- Finished pieces are kiln-fired after the workshop and are expected to be ready for collection in around 14 working days.
- A collection code is provided on the day, with an update link for collection readiness.
- Participants may bring their own drinks; glasses are provided.
