About this course

The course develops understanding of hardware, software and computer networks through activities including computer assembly and repair, basic network construction and visual programming. Participants also explore digital safety and security, and techniques for working collaboratively online. Teaching combines practical work with written reports and skills assessments. The course uses CISCO Academy IT Essentials materials and includes access to a CISCO Academy account, with an option to take an external CISCO certification exam.
