About this course
Participants bring film projects for presentation and review, while also examining work by other learners. Through discussion and demonstrations, the class considers how to spot problems, frame useful questions and develop possible solutions. The workshop focuses on analysing films and applying feedback to participants’ own projects. Learners receive feedback during the course and may work towards a second or third draft outside class, using supported non-linear editing formats, Premiere or DaVinci Resolve.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for experienced learners who are developing their own film project, whatever stage it has reached. Participation includes presenting work, joining group discussions and responding to feedback. Work on the project outside class would be helpful.

Before you go
- A memory stick or portable hard drive may be useful for storing work and data.
- High-definition cameras, professional equipment and software are available for use during the course.
- The class supports most non-linear editing formats on learners’ own machines, with Premiere and DaVinci Resolve available in class.
- Handouts are provided, and relevant books can be accessed in the library.
