About this course
The class explores movement improvisation through somatic approaches including contact improvisation and moving with the eyes closed. Participants work both independently and with others, investigating how the body engages with space, musicality, imagination and composition. Live music accompanies the movement work, providing an element to respond to during improvisation. The teaching focuses on developing bodily awareness, including attention to anatomy and movement in space.
