About this course
Participants begin with measuring, marking and layout before practising halving, bridle, and mortice and tenon joints. The course also covers sharpening chisels and plane irons, along with posture and body mechanics for greater control when sawing and chiselling. These techniques are brought together in a trivet project, giving participants the opportunity to cut and assemble the joints they have studied. Teaching follows a structured format in a class of no more than eight people.
