About this course

The course introduces Blender’s interface and core modelling workflows. Participants create and edit basic forms, add surface detail and materials, use simple lighting, and organise straightforward 3D scenes. The focus is modelling rather than animation. Teaching combines demonstrations, guided exercises and individual practical tasks, with learning developed through simple projects. Progress is assessed continuously through completed modelling and scene-building tasks, with verbal and written feedback.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for adults aged 19+ who are new to Blender or 3D software. The Beginner level indicates an introduction to fundamental techniques, with step-by-step guidance through the software. Basic computer skills will help, but no previous 3D modelling or design experience is required.

Before you go

• Computers and Blender software are provided during the course.
• A notebook and USB drive may be brought for notes and saving work, but they are optional.
• Home practice is optional and would require access to a computer capable of running Blender.
