A face-to-face beginner course covering personal finance, bookkeeping, budgeting and basic accounting, with study towards a Level 1 Money Management qualification.
About this course
The course introduces personal finance and small-business accountancy through bookkeeping terminology, income and expenditure, budgeting, money-management tools and basic business transactions. Learners prepare a simple accounting sheet and work with practical, real-life examples. Teaching takes place through face-to-face sessions, supported by teacher feedback, individual learning plans, self-assessment, peer assessment and group sharing of work. Learners complete a Level 1 qualification in Money Management alongside the course.
