Introduction to Boxmaking: Matchbox-Style Boxes

About this course

Participants construct a matchbox-style enclosure consisting of a sliding inner tray and outer sleeve. The box is covered in bookcloth and fitted with a lining, creating a format for storing small objects or printed items. The workshop combines demonstration with practical making, taking participants through the construction process from the separate components to a finished box. Covering materials can be selected during the session, and the techniques are intended to be repeatable at home using minimal equipment.
