About this course
The course examines how curatorial practice operates across museums, commercial galleries, independent projects, digital settings and alternative exhibition spaces. Teaching combines classroom lectures and seminars with practical workshops and guided visits, linking theoretical questions with the logistics of developing exhibitions. Topics include gallery interpretation, exhibition design, installation planning, funding applications, public relations and audience outreach. Participants also explore contemporary curatorial methodologies, research and writing practices, and the ways curators work with artists, artworks and different exhibition formats.
