About this course

The course develops all four English skills, with particular attention to writing for the relevant term’s exam. Learners practise writing about everyday subjects, producing short messages and recording basic information, while also working with simple texts, instructions and conversations. Teaching combines audio activities, reading aloud, role play, quizzes, word searches, games and digital learning. Learners work independently, in pairs and in small groups, with individual discussions to review progress and targets set through a personal learning plan.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for learners whose initial assessment places them at Beginner (A1) level. Participation includes individual work, pair and small-group activities, and one-to-one progress discussions. Regular attendance, punctuality and at least four hours of independent study each week are expected.

• An initial assessment determines the appropriate English level
• Learners complete homework and practise independently between classes
• At least 90% attendance is required
