About this course

The course focuses on early English reading skills, including recognising letters in upper- and lower-case forms and identifying words in written texts. Learners also practise listening, speaking, reading and writing through a combination of individual tasks, pair work and group activities. The class includes preparation for exams at the end of the course, with regular English practice and homework contributing to progress.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for learners who understand and speak some English, can read and write in another language, and use the Roman alphabet. The Beginner (A1) label indicates an early stage of English learning. Enrolment involves an assessment and discussion with a teacher.

• A test and conversation with a teacher are required before enrolment
