About this course

The course develops English through practice in listening, speaking, reading and writing, with particular attention to constructing simple and compound sentences and using adjectives in personal writing. Sessions include individual tasks, pair work and group activities, alongside study-skills development. Learners also use the internet and other technology as part of their language practice. The course supports preparation for ESOL exams and continued development across the four language skills.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners who have passed Entry 1 exams or understand and speak English at a pre-intermediate level, and who can read and write in their own language using the Roman alphabet. An assessment and discussion with a teacher take place before enrolment. Participation includes individual, pair and group work, with regular English practice and homework expected.
