Introduction to ESOL Entry 3 Writing – Waterloo - 12th April 2027

About this course

The course develops reading, writing, listening and speaking through a mixture of individual tasks, pair work and group activities. Learners practise producing short written texts, work on chronological sequencing and use internet-based technology to support language development. Classroom work also focuses on preparation for ESOL exams.

• Write a short text consisting of two paragraphs
• Develop the ability to sequence text chronologically

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for learners who have passed Entry 2 exams or have equivalent strong intermediate English, and who can read and write using the Roman alphabet. Learners take a test and speak with a teacher before enrolment. Regular attendance, English practice and homework are important parts of participation.

• An assessment and teacher discussion are required before enrolment
• Class activities include individual, pair and group work
• Learners are expected to practise English regularly and complete homework
