About this course
This class develops foundational English reading skills while also practising listening, speaking and writing. Learners work with letters, words and short texts on familiar topics, including recognising upper- and lower-case forms and identifying what a text is for. Teaching includes individual tasks as well as pair and group work. The course also provides preparation for exams held at the end of the second term.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for Beginner (A1) learners who already understand and speak some English, can read and write in another language, and use the Roman alphabet. An assessment and discussion with a teacher are required before enrolment.
- Learners are expected to attend regularly, practise English and complete homework.
- The class includes individual, pair and group activities.

- Bring lined A4 paper or a notebook, a pen, pencil, rubber and an A4 file.
- A smartphone or tablet may be useful in class.
