Introduction to ESOL Level 2 Writing – Waterloo - 12th April 2027

About this course

The course develops writing alongside listening, speaking and reading through individual tasks, paired activities and group work. Learners explore how genre, purpose and audience affect communication, and practise choosing language for different audiences. Classes also include study-skills development, use of internet-based and other technology, and preparation for relevant exams. Regular English practice and homework form part of the learning expected between classes.

Is this course right for you?

The course is listed at Beginner (A1) level, while the entry information is aimed at learners who have passed Level 1 exams or use English at upper-intermediate level. Participation includes individual, pair and group activities, with regular English practice and homework expected.

• Regular practice and completion of homework are identified as important for progress
