Introduction to Hand Tools: Tool Box

A beginner woodworking course covering essential hand tools, joining, sanding and finishing through the construction of a toolbox.
About this course
Participants learn how to select and use core woodworking hand tools while making a toolbox. The course introduces accurate marking out with a steel ruler and sliding bevel, compares coping and tenon saws with jack and block planes, and includes practice with joining techniques. It also covers piloting and countersinking screws, using a drill press, and selecting abrasives for a suitable finish. The emphasis is on applying these techniques during the toolbox project rather than studying them only in theory.
