About this course

Participants work through the main stages of making a picture frame, from cutting accurate mitres in wood and preparing mount board to staining, waxing and mounting artwork. The course also covers cutting glass to fit, making spacers, and taping and finishing the frame. Teaching introduces specialist framing equipment alongside approaches for making frames at home with minimal specialist equipment. A small class allows for individual attention during the practical work.
