Introduction to Riso 3: Advanced Techniques

An advanced Riso workshop covering proofing, multi-page formats, specialised machine settings and maintenance for learners with prior experience.
About this course
This workshop develops independent operation of a Riso duplicator through advanced pre-press and machine-based processes. Participants work with InDesign and Photoshop workflows for intricate projects, refine colours and textures through iterative wet-proofing, and prepare files for books, zines and other multi-page formats. The course also covers specialised printing configurations, troubleshooting and routine maintenance. Participants develop a print-ready artwork into a small edition during the session, applying the techniques covered. The workshop forms the final part of a three-course introductory sequence and is intended to support preparation for Riso certification.
