Introduction to Storytelling

About this course

The course examines how storytelling is shaped by delivery, audience, context and medium. Participants study examples from different periods and cultures, listen to an experienced storyteller and analyse the techniques used. They then develop their own storytelling practice through performance, reflection and adjustment, with regular tutor feedback. The course also considers how stories can be assessed and adapted for different settings, alongside constructive appraisal of other participants’ work.
