About this course
The session uses a tasting of at least six wines to introduce how wine is made and why wines differ in style and flavour. It covers major producing countries and regions, key grape varieties, wine styles and the information found on labels. Participants are guided in recognising and describing aromas and flavours, as well as identifying characteristics such as acidity, tannin and body. Explanations avoid technical jargon and include opportunities to ask questions throughout the informal session.
