What Pre-intermediate (A2+) Italian means
At A2+ Italian, learners can connect simple sentences, give reasons and manage a wider range of familiar situations.

About this course
This Italian course develops communication through spoken interaction, including pair work, group activities, role plays and games. Classroom listening and speaking are complemented by reading and writing homework, with presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources supporting the lessons. Course content covers travel, food habits and health, alongside revision of present and past tenses, the imperative and comparisons. Learners will extend their vocabulary and practise expressing needs, doubts and opinions, discussing diets and health problems, and describing symptoms.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for learners at Italian 2 Upper level, described as Pre-intermediate (A2+), who have studied Italian for about two years or have equivalent knowledge. Participation centres on spoken interaction, with recommended homework to consolidate classroom learning.
- Previous Italian study or equivalent knowledge is expected
- Learners take part in pair work, group work and role plays
- Reading and writing practice is completed as homework
