About this course
The course develops communication in Italian through pair and group activities, role plays, games, presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. Classroom work concentrates on listening and speaking, while reading and writing are reinforced through recommended homework. Topics include apologies, hypotheses, descriptions and housing. Learners are introduced to the present subjunctive, with practice in expressing opinions, making comparisons and discussing past events.

Is this course right for you?
This upper Stage 2 course is intended for learners with around two years of Italian study, including those who have completed Italian 2 Upper Modules 1 and 2 or have equivalent knowledge. The course involves regular spoken interaction, pair and group work, role plays and recommended homework.
- Previous Italian study or equivalent language knowledge is expected
- Learners should be prepared to take part in pair and group activities
- Homework is highly recommended to consolidate classroom learning
