About this course
The course develops spoken Italian for situations such as staying in a hotel, asking for directions, describing places and discussing holidays. Learners also practise ordering food and drink, expressing likes and dislikes, agreeing with others and telling the time. Teaching focuses on communication through pair and group work, role plays, games and audio-visual resources. Lessons revisit earlier topics while introducing the present tense, prepositions, questions, adjectives and gender agreement. Homework is recommended to reinforce the material.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for learners continuing from the first term of beginner Italian. The slower pace allows more time to revisit earlier material, while spoken interaction includes pair work, group activities and role plays. Homework is highly recommended for consolidating classroom learning.
