About this course

The course develops foundational Italian for everyday situations, with lessons covering listening, speaking, reading and writing. Teaching is primarily conducted in Italian and uses interactive activities, including group work and role-plays, to practise communication. Participants work on greetings, introductions, personal information, questions about nationality and origin, hotel check-in details, spelling, addresses, email addresses and numbers used for prices, ages, telephone numbers and room numbers. Progression is based on class participation and self-study rather than formal tests, with further levels available after Level 1.
