About this course
This course develops Italian through spoken communication, with group activities and role-plays alongside structured work on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Lessons are conducted in Italian to give learners sustained listening and comprehension practice. Topics include sport, the body, health and wellbeing. Learners work with language for discussing advantages and disadvantages, giving formal instructions, describing symptoms, specifying quantities, and requesting advice or assistance from medical professionals.
What you'll learn
- Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of different sports
- Give formal instructions and orders using regular and irregular imperative forms with Lei, noi and voi
- Describe symptoms and health problems and request advice from a pharmacist or doctor
- Ask for assistance in an A&E setting, both in person and online
- Specify quantities and amounts using partitive articles and related structures
- Use vocabulary and grammar concerning sport, the body, health and wellbeing, including ne, nessuno, non… più, troppo and tanto
Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for learners at pre-intermediate level (A2+) who have already studied Italian. The provider requires previous completion of Italian Level 10 or a course totalling at least 120 class hours. Participation includes group work, role-plays and spoken communication, with the teacher speaking Italian throughout.
