About this course

The course develops spoken Italian through discussion, role-plays and group activities, with learners working on opinions, comparisons, hypotheses, formal communication and reported information. Topics include films, television, social media, music, banking and customer service, alongside aspects of Italian cultural life. Lessons combine communication practice with structured work on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The teacher uses Italian throughout, giving learners regular listening and comprehension practice. The course also covers specific structures including indirect speech, comparisons, the trapassato prossimo and expressions for agreement, disagreement and requesting assistance.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for intermediate Italian learners who have already studied to a fairly high level. The stated entry point is completion of Italian Level 16 or at least 192 class hours.
