About this course

Lessons develop spoken Italian through group activities and role-plays, supported by structured work on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The teacher conducts the course in Italian, giving learners regular practice in comprehension and listening. Course topics include Italian superstitions, beliefs, religion, traditions, social etiquette and popular festivals. Learners also work with conversational expressions, ways to express surprise or irritation, and language for discussing sensitive or taboo subjects. Grammar includes adjective position, impersonal structures with si and ci si, dicono + congiuntivo, and repetition for emphasis and intensification.

Is this course right for you?

This course is for learners at Intermediate (B1) level who have previously studied Italian Level 19 or completed at least 228 class hours. Participation involves spoken communication, group work and role-plays, with the teacher using Italian throughout the lessons.
