About this course
Lessons develop spoken and receptive Italian through group activities, role-plays and sustained use of the target language in class. Learners work systematically on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and comprehension while discussing literature, news, media, misinformation, statistics and online shopping. The course also introduces aspects of Italian literature, journalism and digital culture. Language work includes expressing opinions, summarising texts, discussing ways of staying informed, making assumptions about the past, and communicating disappointment and gratitude.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for upper-intermediate Italian learners, with the B2 label indicating study beyond elementary and intermediate foundations. The provider requires previous study of Italian Level 20 or a course totalling at least 240 class hours. Lessons involve spoken communication, group work and role-plays.
- Previous Italian study is explicitly required.
- Learners are expected to participate in collaborative speaking activities and role-plays.

- A copy of DIECI B1 by C. Massimo Naddeo and E. Orlandino is required; the course uses Unit 5.
