About this course

This course develops Italian for everyday travel and accommodation situations. Learners practise discussing hotel services, making bookings, describing cities and places of interest, giving directions, and making polite requests or complaints. Teaching focuses on spoken communication, with lessons conducted primarily in Italian. Group work and role-play are combined with activities covering listening, speaking, reading and writing. The course also introduces grammar including noun–adjective agreement, articulated prepositions, molto, dovere, and the use of c’è and ci sono.

What you'll learn

• Describe hotel facilities and services using relevant Italian vocabulary
• Make hotel reservations in person, online or by telephone
• Give simple reviews and make polite complaints or requests about a hotel stay
• Describe cities, places of interest and activities, and give directions using basic location language
• Use noun–adjective agreement, articulated prepositions, molto, dovere, c’è and ci sono in appropriate contexts

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for Elementary learners at A2 who have already studied some Italian, with Level 2 or equivalent prior study recommended. Lessons involve spoken communication, group work and role-play, and progression is based on participation and self-study rather than formal tests.
