About this course
The course develops advanced Italian through work on register, complex grammatical structures, idiomatic expressions and vocabulary. Learners study and discuss articles from newspapers, magazines and online sources, using these materials to explore current affairs and social and cultural events in Italian-speaking contexts. Class activities include debates, discussions and work with complex texts, with progress reviewed through classwork and homework. Learners also set individual targets and consolidate their learning outside class.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for advanced Italian learners who have completed an Italian Level 4 course or have equivalent knowledge. The C1+ level indicates work with sophisticated language and complex texts. Participation includes discussion, debate, class activities and set homework.
- Previous completion of Italian Level 4 or equivalent knowledge is required
- Learners are expected to complete homework and consolidate class learning
- Individual learning targets are set and reviewed during the course
