Italian Level 5 Language and Culture (Mastery) Day

About this course

The course uses interactive activities and authentic materials to extend advanced Italian across language skills and cultural understanding. Study includes complex grammar, vocabulary, idioms and expressions, with work on past, future and conditional tenses, the subjunctive and varied sentence structures. Learners practise communicating in academic, professional and personal contexts, including understanding conversations, news reports and literary texts. Classwork and homework contribute to assessment, while individual learning targets are set at the start and reviewed during the course.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for very advanced Italian learners using the language for academic, vocational or professional purposes. The Advanced (C1+) label indicates work beyond upper-intermediate communication, with participation involving complex language analysis, varied communication tasks and study outside class.

• Previous study of Italian Level 5 Part 1 or equivalent knowledge is required
• Learners are expected to complete set homework and consolidate class learning
• Progress is considered through classwork, homework and individual learning targets
