About this course

The course develops Italian for everyday and professional situations. Learners practise discussing jobs, career paths, health issues, symptoms, remedies and childhood habits, while expanding vocabulary connected with work, health, the body and common expressions. Teaching combines spoken communication with systematic grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation work. Group activities and role-plays provide opportunities to use the language, while instruction takes place in Italian to develop listening and comprehension. Grammar includes the imperfect tense, the imperative, verbs expressing stages of actions and the use of da for place.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners who are already studying Italian and have completed Italian Level 7 or an equivalent course of at least 84 class hours. The Elementary (A2) label indicates a developing level beyond the earliest stages. Participation includes group work, role-plays and spoken communication, with teaching conducted in Italian.
