Italian-Lower Intermediate Stage 1

About this course

This course develops Italian communication across present, past and future contexts, with vocabulary related to homes, free time, holidays, clothing and health. Learners practise reading texts, accurate pronunciation, spoken and written grammar, and intercultural comparison of traditions. Teaching follows a communicative approach, using role plays, group discussions, classroom interactions and presentations. Progress is reviewed through tutor observation, varied activities and a Personal Learning Plan, allowing learners to reflect on their development during the course.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for learners at lower-intermediate level, labelled B1, who have completed Post Beginners Stage 1 or have equivalent study of around 90 hours. Participation involves speaking with others, role plays, group discussion and presentations, alongside independent reading and writing.
