Italian Lower Intermediate Stage 2

About this course

The course develops Italian communication in present, past and future contexts through a communicative approach. Classroom activities, role-play and group discussions provide practice with everyday situations, including conversations at the doctor’s, holiday planning and more complex shopping exchanges. Learners work on understanding and responding to informal narratives, describing personality and character, discussing preferences and talking about free-time activities. Progress is reviewed through in-class observation and activities, with learners recording reflections in a Personal Learning Plan.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners who have completed Beginners Part 2 or have equivalent knowledge, described as around 60 hours of previous study. The course involves regular classroom participation through role-play, group discussions and other communicative activities.

• Completion of Beginners Part 2 or equivalent knowledge is expected
• Regular attendance is advisable for developing language skills
• Progress is discussed with the tutor and recorded in a Personal Learning Plan
