About this course
This masterclass examines how Friuli Venezia Giulia’s geography, history and cultural influences have shaped its wine production. The Wine Scholar Guild curriculum provides the framework for exploring the region’s terroirs and winemaking traditions, including its position between Italian, Austrian and Slovenian cultures. A curated tasting covers aromatic whites such as Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio, alongside reds including Refosco and Schioppettino, as well as orange wines. The session also introduces the wider Italian Wine Scholar programme.
