About this course
This unit examines the wines and wine regions of Central and Southern Italy through classroom teaching and regular tastings, with at least six wines tasted in each class. Regional learning objectives structure the subject material, while pronunciation exercises, online quizzes and learning games support study and self-evaluation. Live and recorded review webinars are also available. Unit 2 is studied and examined separately from Unit 1, and the two units may be completed in either order.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for learners developing beyond introductory wine study, as indicated by its Improver level. It may suit people studying or holding WSET Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma, as well as sommeliers, importers, distributors and those with a strong interest in Italian wine. Unit 1 is not required beforehand.
- Suitable for learners approaching Italian wine as a professional or serious area of study.
- Unit 1 can be taken before or after Unit 2.

- At least six wines are tasted in each class.
- A comprehensive study manual is provided and also serves as a reference book.
- Online regional study modules, quizzes, learning games and pronunciation exercises are included; access to the online modules lasts for one year.
- Live and recorded review webinars and examination fees are included. An internationally recognised digital certificate is available to learners who pass both units.
