About this course
This session examines Tuscany’s wine regions within the Wine Scholar Guild Italian Wine Scholar Unit 2 curriculum. It covers the area’s appellations, grape varieties, soils, climates and winemaking history, with attention to Chianti, Chianti Classico, Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. A curated tasting explores the breadth of Tuscan wine, including Sangiovese expressions, and considers how terroir and winemaking influence their character. The class is Part 2 of a two-part Toscana study and can also introduce learners to the wider Italian Wine Scholar programme.
