About this course
The course introduces foundational Japanese for everyday exchanges. Participants practise greetings, sharing personal information, introducing themselves and others, ordering food and drink, and using numbers in context. The emphasis is on oral communication rather than writing, with attention to listening and the pronunciation of basic vocabulary. Teaching follows a communicative approach, combining pair and group work, role plays, and audio-visual techniques where appropriate. Learners are expected to take part in spoken classroom activities, with homework set as required.
